| Semper became the lead sponsor of the XV. Troya Chess Tournament , one of the Turkey's most exciting annual international tournament organised from 04-12 Agustos 2007 in Çanakkale. XV. Troya Chess Tournament completed with a record participation of 248 players ! This year, the record of 220 participants of last year has been broken. There were 1 GM, 2 IM and 8 FM playing in the tournament. This year, seven different federation's players (TUR, TKM, SYR, JOR, AZE, GEO, IRI) have been participated in the Troya Open. GM Farid ABBASOV from Azerbaijan and IM Mert ERDOGDU from Turkey finished the tournament with outstanding performance 8/9 points .
